Exp 3 Final Submission

Overall Image of the sketch up model, the school itself also works as part of the bridge as it connects two main pathways of the bridge. Students are allowed to walk on the upper surface to travel between 2 pathways. Moreover, main studying spaces (eg.library, theatre, studio spaces) are located on the upper surfaces so that students can get easy and simple access to these spaces while walking across it.

Folly, The folly communicates the concept that Architecture is a circulating process regardless of materiality or the way of construction. An elevator is located right at the centre of the folly so that students are able reach the folly from the main bridge path way.

Mash Up

Architecture has changed from a discipline to forego fashion and grasp at a clarity of form and a timeless architecture. Such work creates a set of guiding principles and maintains an architectural thesis just as adamantly as it keeps the heat in and the rain out. Traditional structure has not changed during recorded history, Buildings require distinct spaces allotted to horizontal and vertical circulation.

exp2 monuments

General view of the two monuments with the land form.
Night view of the mounments

Monument of Zaha Hadid. Key concept of this piece of work is to make a level of discovery to boundaries. Circular structure of the monument suggests that Zaha hadid's design embodies a fusion of dynamic and ordinary. Meanwhile the abstract surfaces encourage infinite possibility of manipulation of boundaries.

Meeting space, a platform between 2 monuments. This space allows students to communicate and sharing their experience after walking through the two monuments.

Monument of Norma Sklarek and entrance. This monument suggest  a sense of practicability. Series of prism represents columns. Horizontal prisms provide seating for students yet not occupying much of the space.
